I did the same thing and keep coming back for inspiration. Like you, my first tail will be fabric...fabric is ordered already and I am super excited. I too get tail envy seeing all of these amazing silicone works of art, but this thread has shown me unbelievable ideas for fabric tails! It's completely inspiring! Ya know, you're right! Im thinking about somehow making my fabric tail less plain... extra fins? Scales? paint? :) I'm glad you like it Tony. I'm sincerely sorry for the few flaws it ended up having. I think if I had the actual monofion, or even just a cutout of the shape, that it would have fit better length-wise. I had made the center point on the fluke to be about 3" off the end of the monofin. I'll make sure I get both Rapid and Wave ordered before too long so I can make cardboard cutouts of the shapes :)

Mermanjr, your tail is awesome! I always loved Jesse's tails, they have such a slimy look and his dorsal designs are super cool! Im jelly!

My first tail. a long time ago on this thread lol. was fabric I see nothing wrong in making a fabric tail first (just to be sure your going to keep on keeping on ya know)
