don't think so, if you watch mer-related (or even just ocean related) videos, you'll be bombarded with Melissa and Kat, probably because they boosted their videos or somesuch.
However, I never clicked any of them, and gradually they went away and only show up sometimes when they bought a new boost :p
OK- I'm going to step in here for Mermaid Melissa.
If you have a company of Merfolks and have tanks, there is the convention industry. Your potential clients are not local to you, they are around the world and have different focuses and you have to get their attention at their home town about your availability at the conventions in your own home town "Florida"
If the marketing department at Canadian National Railway Co. typed Mermaid, the local Google spider would see Mermaid Toronto and would show it. They would see Melissa Mermaid in Florida does Florida conventions and hopefully consider her for their booth or after party.

Youtube tracks your interests and the interests of what other people who watch that video tend to watch and chooses the ads accordingly.

PS: You can control whether or not 'suggested' videos show up at the end of your video. I think it's under monetization.
Youtube is also connected to Google and if you get your design by searching in google for things others made then it will notice your interests in mermaids.

Melissa can't legally work here and I own Canadian mermaid (s). Also google search is diff for everyone based on your demographic.
In another thread we just discussed how lame it was mermaidsrus used mertailor tags. I think its lame she uses tags of name I have paid for and legally own the rights to. She's not even Canadian and as per our border laws she can't even work here.

I don't know what's more infuriating. The fact that it even happened, that it was done by an employee of the setup firm that the con hired, the damn bruise that hurts like a mofo sitting down, the inability to do the rest of my work as a mermaid with my group because of said bruise, the lack of evidence to press charges, the ongoing investigating not being able to find the damn person wearing a freakin' employee tshirt, people that yelled that they saw it happen but aren't willing to step forward nor did they go after the guy or just the damn fact this asshole may just have got away with it so he can go do it to someone else.

That is really awful. Conventions like that are for people to get together and share in a passion, to have fun. When those guys show up it just ruins everything. I think it takes out the fun and makes everyone feel unsafe. I hope they catch that guy!
can't the police ask the people for a list of who was working the convention? they MUST have a list somewhere. otherwise how are they supposed to get paid to work?
They likely have enough on video if they wanted to persue it. The guys union won't turn on it's own for hurting someone in this fashion. Likely the management isn't using the video because they are hoping it just fades away.
I'm so seriously upset by the events in Ferguson Missouri. You should google it if you don't know. It's like a scene out of the hunger games over there. Like the police force has taken over and is doing illegal shit. It's sickening. But I have to spread the word. If nobody finds out, it's not going to get better. And currently all media is being BANNED from the city. So social media is the only way.

actually, that's not entirely true. Yes what he did was horrible and wrong, and he should be put on trial. However, that does not give people of the town and out of town to come in an destroy the community. And it absolutely did not start out as 'peaceful'. The first night they looted a convienence store where it happened and then BURNED IT DOWN. that's not exactly peaceful. Oh and posed him no threat? The police officer went to the hospital after the incident for injuries. How did that happen if there was no threat? I'm not saying it's right that he killed the kid, but none of us were there when it happened. The police are trying to control the situation before more people get hurt and before the town is completely dress imaged.Quote:

Yes I know, I'm sorry I snapped a bit. Media coverage and story twisting in this country is infuriating. I'm about 3 hours away from them, but news travels fast around here. Plus most of the local media can get coverage out before they're shut down.
3 hours away is pleanty of distance to get the information twisted. Just because you're in the same state as the issue doesn't mean you're the authority on it. And I'm not saying I am either, but our information obviously doesn't match up.
Personally, I don't trust media sources other than eye witness social media reports. Ah but thats the problem with anyone posting media anywhere. How do you know theyre even telling the truth? Maybe they were doing something wrong (Im not saying they were but IF they were), do you really think the friend would come out say something like "oh yeah, we were doing drugs in the street and then injured a cop who shot my friend" No probably not because then he would be turning himself in for that. Also, regardless of what happened, that doesnt give anyone the right to vandalize and start looting 12 Businesses in the first night and burn down a convenience store. No one has the right to steal from and destroy other businesses in their community, thats just doing more harm than good. This only turned into a racial controversy because of people talking about it like that, like how you worded your post. Did the police use rubber bullets and tear gas. Absolutely. theyre trying to control the situation. What are you saying, the police should just let the people run ramped and destroy the entire town? You dont know he was innocent. you do not know why that officer shot that boy. NONE OF US DO. also, the 'left his body there', no one has confirmed if thats even true. okay because I have to explain this "we" is black solidarity. I am black, thus we use "we" when talking about anything to do with black people. Also, coming from all of the photos, videos, TESTIMONY from his friend who was walking with him and neighbors who saw, HE WAS INNOCENT.
