    Hydra Monofin Sizes

Does anyone know whether the eu sizes listed for the hydra momofin are in female or male sizes? I love the clear hydra monofin, but not sure about the sizes.

Europe doesn't have female och male sizes. They're unisex. You'll have to go with the lengths of the sizes instead.

I'm looking at buying this monofin, but I'm terrified to do it. My foot size is literally in between sizes in just regular shoes (I fit anything from a 9 to a 10) and so I don't want to be ordering this if it's the wrong size. So I can choose between the 44/48 or the 39/43.

I don't want to buy the wrong size and end up with either a fin that crushes my feet or that is just ridiculously large.

If you fit in a 'wave', go for a 'Triton'.
If you fit in a 'rapid', go for a 'Hydra'.
If a 'rapid' is to small for you, take a 'Minos'.

I normally wear size 10.5-11 US shoes, and I bought the Hydra size 39/43. It fits comfortably, even with my neoprene booties. I think the 44/48 would be way too large for you, Elle.

Bah. Monofin makers, what's wrong with calling things small and large? Why do they have to give it a different model name entirely?

The hydra fits both me and my daughter. She is a size 9 us and I'm a 7-7 1/2. However if you have a wide foot or a high arch, it may be a little snug. I have to buy the socks as the foot pockets aren't overly comfy for me

well I just went and looked at some of my shoes and it just got more confusing. one pair said USW 9.5/ UK 7.5, another pair says 10, some say 9, a few say 8. I'm at a loss.

They should just go based off of foot length and width in mm. I sketched my foot on a piece of paper and scanned it to meausre my feet.
