Today I started on making my moulds for this new tail as I can't you hearts for this one. This time I cut circles out of 2mm craft foam with my die-cutting machine, glued a second piece of foam under the circles and covered it with worbla. I also made a mould for the star with worbla.

Finally tested and found the right colours and fades for this tail.
So excited to see this tail cosplay; Sonico is one of my beloved waifus. Also, what an innovative way to make molds!
Finally I started on the tail it self. Body-double is made and covered in Lycra.
Premade some of the scale I need, I know I need lots more, but I couldn't made them all as I didn't know how much I will need.
And I start pinning the scales to see where they have to come.

Started 'gluing' the smallest scales that will cover a part of the fluke.
Today I 'glued' the scales for the back bottom part.
And start pinning the scales onto the front of the body-double until I ran out of those big aqua scales.

I ran out of scales for the back, but making some more of them.
I also casted the first star, they will be attached to the tail with very small (50mm across), but strong magnets.
Tail and all 4 stars are getting ready for there glitter-/slime-coat.

Today I started working on the inside of my tail, glued the magnets on the right place with a special, very strong glue and sealed the front part with some more silicone:
