    Mermaid Tool Kit: What should I bring to the pool?

    I've said this a billion times by now: I'm brand new XD

    I watched a video from Courtney Mermaid on YouTube about what she brings to the pool and I was hoping to see if anyone else had other ideas of what to bring?

    I use:

    • a trash bag
    • goggles, nose plug, ear plug
    • eye drops (and my glasses)
    • zip-lock bags
    • yoga mat (so I don't mess my tail up going in and out of the pool)
    • spare clothes
    • Towel
    • wet hair brush and extra hair ties

    What do you guys use?

    Trash bag for my monofin and tail, zip locks for my phone, wallet, keys, etc., and also for my spare clothes. I live in Florida where it rains every day without fail

    I bring my tail, goggles and eyedrops. I only use my googles when not in the tail. Also I bring a camera sometimes. I use a yoga mat on the side of the pool to not ding up my tail.

    I travel light. Apart from the two I mentioned, I bring towel, prescription goggles (I'm blind without my glasses!), JJ baby shampoo, all in one shampoo body soap, some snacks and a drink bottle. The food there at the pool is very expensive. I use the baby shampoo to keep my goggles fog free.

    And depending on which fin I'm bringing, I pack neoprene socks.

    Speaking of googles, my brother had an amazing idea! Somemer should make goggles where there is water in the lenses so a mermaid could justify wearing them (needing to see on land with eyes that are made for seeing underwater).

    I saw one merfolk who made a mask, I just complimented them on it, they made goggles into a mask and had little fins on it. It was so pretty!

    Although, I don't think they put water in the lense...

    Sunblock.
    Coconut oil to help feet get into foot pockets.

    But many times I go with just a towel and tail.

    when I go swimming I take with me:
    * basics:
    - bathing-suit or bikini
    - monofin (Triton)
    - microfiber towel
    - shampoo
    - brush and comb
    - extra contact lenses
    - sportbag to put everything in
    * fabric tail:
    - basics
    - tailskin
    - matching bikini
    - matching jewelry
    - extra microfiber towel
    - (wig if it's a character)
    * silicone tail:
    - basics
    - silicone tail
    - matching bikini
    - matching jewelry
    - 2 extra microfiber towels
    - (wig if it a character)
    - big blue Ikea-bag to put my tail in

    I don't take my Triton with me if I use one of my silicone tails as there is already a Triton in those tails.
