Question What size monofin do i pick? Need help!!!

    Hi everyone
i have a dilemma, im looking to buy a new monofin and im doubting whether i'm gonna buy the So Dive Hydra or the So Dive Minos my foot size is an european: 43.
The So Dive Hydra is for foot size 39-43 and the So Dive Minos is for foot size 44-48.
the thing is i don't know if i have to buy a monofin a size bigger just like regular flippers or to buy a bigger size if i think i'm gonna wear socks in them + i'm a guy so i have bigger feet than a girl for instance

anyone any advice? would be much appreciated

Are you able to go to a store and try the monofin on? I got mine at a little store on Main Street and I got to try it on before I bought it.

Every monofin I have bought that was supposed to fit my foot size turned out to be too small.
I'd go with the larger one.

it is an online shop so i can't go and physically try one on. And i don't think there is a shop in Belgium that sells monofins sadly

The Hydra is very comfortable, I never wear socks in it.

But if you plan to wear socks, maybe you should go with the Minos as you are just on the upper limit of the Hydra.

I do have 42.5 and my Hydra fits perfectly. 43 should work too but I don't think you can wear socks in it (I do not see a reason why - it is very comfortable, because the foot pockets may be too small).

yes as long as you don't wear neoprene socks.

I live in Eindhoven and have a Hydra, foot size 42. it fits me really well and I have a ton of room. I don't know if you ever swim at Todi on mermaid sundays but if so I could bring mine at some point and you could try it?

In my Luna monofin I use regular socks, I have very sensitive feet so I need a layer of protection, even though that monofin is super comfy.
In my Hydra I use thin scuba knit half-socks, I tried regular full socks but the heelstrap of the monofin slips off if I do.
With my Nemo-wing monofin I use 3mm neoprene socks, but that's more because the footpockets are huge (although this monofin is like wearing slippers, SO comfy)
