While she isn't a comercial tail maker, I think her tails are the best out there right now.
Totally stealing the flowy fabric/ silicon combo. It is AMAZING!!!!

Are they photoshopped?
Formerly known as "kimmie".
Maybe a little? If you watch the video you can see how they look. The photography is beautiful, but the tails themselves are still masterpieces.

I got her featured on deviantART, she posted on here from time to time too!
Those tails a gorgeous but they look so hard to swim in. The pictures are well worth it though!

So pretty!! They look like beta fish. But it seems like there's quite a drag when they swim..
Definitely, haha. Wayyyy drag. Mainly just to look graceful, it seems.
So fairy like <3
They obviously look amazing in photographs + video (testimony to the videographer/photographer/team as well), but I'm not a fan of how they look out of water. 'Course that's not their main function so that doesn't matter so much. The end product is gorgeous and working through that drag definitely seemed worth it!
Oh how fun to find this here today! I was looking at the vimeo stats and saw the mernetwork pop up... and I had to check it out. I'm the photographer, and you guys just *made* my morning. I couldn't have built the tails without the help of this forum... seriously... it was a task!
And you are all very right... those tails are near impossible to swim in. We affectionately called them our 'drowning tails' on set. Although, towards the end of the week, the girls were getting stronger and better with them. That aside... the fabric trails added so much to the underwater photographs that the trade-off was totally worth it. There were a couple of times I caught myself watching the movement instead of shooting it... hehhh... I'd just caution anyone who wanted to try something similar... be careful.
And again, THANK YOU mernetwork. You made my project happen.
Awww, you're welcome! And congrats on taking some absolutely stunning photos!
