    Does anyone have a recommendation for what glue to use? I have some light weight resin shells that I want to attach to a top for swimming. I'd hate to have them pop off D:

    Yea everyone uses E6000 for everything now. I'd say it's the official mermaid glue lol

    My awesome new top by Taylor of FairyTalesForReal! I might add some more shells and sea glass, maybe a little bit more seaweed around the edges but I'm super excited!
    (also say hi to Harry in the background lol)

    Lovely top! Is it swimable! I know real shells get heavy and it looks like there's real starfish on it. Are they coated to protect them from water damage?

    I'm working on a new top! A bit less showy and more casual. the big starfish are attaching now, then I'll put the smaller one in the middle. Might glue some gems all over it too.

    Coyote Walker, I love that top! It's so simple yet so elegant! Great colors! And I'm planning to seal it myself, I don't think the maker did.

    Kaitwoman, that's so funny! I love meeting other people with quakers. And I can't wait to see your top!

    Thanks! I love seaweed tops but I love the simpleness of this one.

    What are you gonna seal it with? I'm curious. i wonder why the maker wouldnt.

    I just finished the first half of my soon to be top ^-^

    Not sure, I need to do a little bit of research. I think I've heard that an acrylic sealant will do the job? And it's not that she wouldn't, I think it's that she didn't know. She also used hot glue on the top, which isn't the best adhesive, but she assured me that she'd never heard of anything falling off. I didn't mind too much since I've got a bottle of E6000 on hand and am not planning on doing karate in it(;

    Also I love that top Rebekah! It'll go so well with your tail!

    Hahaha fair enough then. Good luck!

    Rebeckah, those sequins look fab!
