These are amazing!! Where do you find these images?
The SeaGlass Siren
I'm a photographer so I spend a lot of time researching and looking at images lol. I follow a lot of fashion blogs/newsletters like fashion gone rogue, and though I haven't been active on there much recently cause of uni, I find a lot of stuff on tumblr as I follow a lot of fashion tumblrs and such.
I have some more to post once I get round to it lol
I'm sure someone has made this joke before, but...
Shouldn't this be called the daily FINspiration thread?! *BA-dum TSH*
"I must be a mermaid. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living." — Anaïs Nin
When I'm trying to get into my "mermaid headspace" I look at different sensory input, like sight/sound/touch/taste/smell.
For sight, I like looking at high resolution images of beaches, islands, lakes, underwater caves, and other places I would imagine mermaids would live.
<---- like this
For sound, pretty much anything from the mermaid music thread plus ocean, river, or waterfall noises. This website is a white noise generator with a bunch of different sounds you can customize: http://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/oce...eGenerator.php
For touch, any time I take a shower or bath. I just close my eyes and concentrate on the feel of the water flowing over my skin.
For taste, sea food.I know it's not everyone's thing, but I love it. Basically if it swam when it was alive I think it's delicious, but I try not to eat it too often because I don't want to contribute to the overfishing of the oceans.
For smell, "ocean breeze" scented candles and sunscreen. Honestly nothing smells more like the beach to me than coconut sunscreen!
