Yes I did. I've been talking with them on and off for months now but finally hit the 'go' button and since I was in for a penny (well.. a LOT of them) & am working a cancer benefit for a dear friend in August I am hoping to have the tail for I opted for the rush.

The upgrade is an additional 1000 according to the fb. Personally I don't like the way they bend up very much, but that's just me

Yeah, I was kinda hoping it would be in the mid hundreds instead of thousand... And oh my, they kept teasing me it felt like with Lyrique's tail lol. I caved a few months ago and went for the upgrade. It's so pricy but lovely!

I think mine will be the next/3rd tail they've made with the upgrade :3

That upgrade looks amaaaazing. I got to see the original betta tail in person, and it looked cool on that one but I think Lyrique's looks even better! I'm trying hard not to be jealous. I still love my tail.

Arion, I hope you feel better soon! We're all dying to see pics of you in that tail, like srsly you have no idea. Also, I just did that same hook-hanging method! I'm going to add a couple extra hooks to help distribute the weight a bit more around the base of the fluke, though. I can post a pic if anyone's interested.

Well, it's soon 5 am in France, I can't sleep anymore and I'm still very sick. Stupid cough... Stupid diarrhea... Stupid me

I'm really upset at this moment because I feel I can't go out today. It's Gay Pride day in Paris and I wanted to show off my merman tail on a tank but it's likely not happening this year. I won't have the energy for it and beside, the weather won't be with us because it will be raining the entire afternoon. I don't think catching a cold too will be a smart move... Fortunately, I got myself an appointment with a doctor this coming Monday morning so hopefully, I will get better soon.

In the meantime, I apologize to everyone for letting you down. I know a lot of you are expecting to see me in my tail but this is not gonna happen for the time being. Thank you very much for the support though, I appreciate that.

After my initial individual scales lust, I realized I wouldn't get $1000 more enjoyment of out of my tail. And I actually prefer the sleeker look of the original tailskin. Okay, then.

I can understand why it's so expensive, I bet it takes HOURS for them to lay those scales down one by one, especially since it's to unique measurements and they have to make it look nice and even. I just sent them a message saying I'd like to add that upgrade to my order since I haven't heard from them about starting it yet. Now instead of owing them 1k, I owe them 2k, and I have to send them $100 just to get back to the 50% down payment total.

Ay people, stop opting for the upgrade/rush orders, lol! I'm afraid my order is going to be pushed back too far... Although, honestly, I would love the upgrade too if I could afford it. I'm already making payments because I couldn't afford it all upfront and I don't think I could justify the extra $1,000. I get it though, it would take much longer to create a tail that way. I'm just too impatient! I was hoping to have a tail by the time I moved (in 2 weeks) as kind of a gift to myself. A few days ago they said my production time was looking like July/August but I don't know if they mean mid month, late month, etc. Plus I'm hoping it didn't get pushed back more with their upgrade announcement. Oh well, not much I can do but wait! I hope the time goes by quickly!

Well, one shouldn't feel bad for not getting that upgrade, as cool as it looks. The original tailskin is still just as awesome. My tail was the first one with those scales (which I helped design) and it still looks amazing. I love my tail. Check out all the pics I got with Mermaid Iona last weekend
