:-/ I couldn't imagine, that sounds awful! But making sure your body has the vitamins it needs can never hurt I hope you both manage to stay as healthy as possible I know you have a lot of challenges many of us don't have to worry about.

I thought that if I was crazy enough, I would have taken that spot right away because I can afford buying another performance tail (the first one being a finfolk tail) but in fact, I'm not that crazy. I really shouldn't spend all my savings for a second tail. Maybe next year when I will be richer. Then, I might consider it.

Sorry to get off-topic (again), but I've been basically without internet for a while now and only have limited access even now, so I'm just now getting to ask. But I think I remember someone saying there was something called Raven's Choice? Where Raven designs your tail for you? Is this still a thing, or am I just remembering it wrong?

Identical-minute post, Raina! I must say, though I myself agonized (literally in a sense, as it related to my near-death experience at 16) over the perfect expression of myself via mermaid tail, the thought of surrendering control to an artist like Raven and accepting what she puts you in is rather thrilling! I am eager to see what the new Raina will be!

I just caught up with Raven and rest assured they're planning a massive flood of updates. They had to use a loaner phone for a while as her phone/laptop are broken. (her laptop's been broken for a while, she frequently busts phone by having them around her tail making gear) so all of you who have been waiting should hear some stuff/ see some stuff in the next little while. They've been going flat out. (this is her first appearance online since July 11th- been too busy working!)


Yay! I also told her about my Rapidash issues so she's aware and working her way through the tail making list!

If you pick that and let her design it, does she draw it first and let you approve it? And can you give her a few limits like color, or does she go nuts and do whatever she wants to? I have trouble designing tails myself and am never happy with what I draw, but I'd like to choose a few things, like the main color and shape of the fluke. Of course, I'd be extremely happy with anything she gave me even if it was the opposite of what I pictured. There's just something about Raven's tails that makes you fall in love with them no matter the design, color, fins, price, or anything else she does to them.

I havent heard from her since then and her online activity has been almost non-existant so Im sure she's up to her gills in mermaid work. >.> (the last thing I saw from her personal facebook was from July 11. She hasnt made a peep online anywhere else since that I see! And that was the last time she and I spoke too, hope she's not ill!)

I also heard from another mermaid that there is a shortage of competitor monifins right now (not sure if this is affecting her or not) because Finis gets some of their supplies for their competitor out of the ukraine and well, all the stuff going on over there. I guess another monofin company just couldn't offer one of their monofins anymore because they couldnt get them and didnt have a stock pile.

I find it interestng how world issues can affect the tailmaking business. Interesting. Anyways I hope Raven feels much better soon! All the best for her recovery.
