I’ve seen your work on the other sites, and wow. Costuming, playing characters so spot on. The reason you are attacked is because you do everything so very well. You’ve become a celebrity to these people and because of that these people are trying to fluff themselves to feel equal. They may have been like you in an early time, the problem is they see how you become better. Don’t let the noise get you down.

My sewing machine is acting up.

I am trying to work on a tail for someone whom I cannot disappoint; it's a personal mission. Things keep going wrong though and it's starting to effect my moral over the project and fear has taken over my mind. I fear they will hate it. The right thread snapped so much that the colors I am using are not the right green so they do not match, the fins are not behaving like they should, and the dorsal is ... I don't know what it's doing.

I am really hoping the paint job helps this. This tail has my anxiety soaring.

I'm not a sew person. Does the thread still break?
Sewing machines teach me all the ways I can do it wrong. Sometimes the spool side is sticky and it stick to the machine, or I don't check the tension and later find it max'd out. I've even found the thread wrapped around thing it wasn't supposed to and sometimes I just have to stop and start anew the next day.

It could be a number of things. I had similar issues with my thread. In the end we found it was a tension and material issues.

I've adjusted stitch size, played with the machine and so on. One thread is really bad and snaps after about 10 stitches. The one I am using now is a little better. It is still a bit of a pain, but I will work on it in the morning. I have to draw out a new dorsal fin pattern as the last one got torn up. Good thing I take progress pictures so I have the design and dorsal fin pattern saved.

Have you tried adjusting the tension? Also, there may be a problem with the threading, it might be getting caught on something that is making it break. My machine does that a lot too :P it also might be a piece of loose thread in the bobbin compartment, that messes mine up a lot too.

I hate it when guys don't think before they act. Now granted i'm still a teen but it is still really annoying. They will say something to you and then when they finally figure out that your pissed off about it and then they try to cope out like You know i didn't mean that i'm so sorry. I can just cry about now. My bf and I are getting a registered partnership, which is almost the same as getting married. We did this because we get better financial stuff, and hope to get married when we get our house done when we have moved. Now we went yesterday to get everything planned and there was a spot free the 19th of august, so we took that one. I told me parents that they would be my witnesses' for the occasion, they knew we were planning this, but now they are all mad and stuff because it's so soon and that they can't get free because of the holiday period and stuff. And they tell it in such a way that it sounds like it's my fault suddenly that they can't come. Normally you can get a free day for such things. Besides that, we are close to buying a house, so we don't want to wait to long with the registering so that we can get our finances done without the extra hassle if we didn't register, or we had to wait till December...
It just pain sucks that they have to be like this, while they should fight it with their jobs and not me

Likely your parents aren't comfortable with the Registered Partnership and not really with the dates. From a old person perspective it's kinda like your BF isn't making a real commitment and leaving himself with a out. He's wanting to keep you happy with a kinda-sorta live in relationship. Maybe the holiday timing is making that even worse.
So ask yourself if I'm not getting married what is my real reluctance. Marriage is serious? I'm not really, really - really convinced this is the guy? In the olden times you'd get married small and later have a big party for the friends if money was the issue.
These are personal question and I'm not your folks, just Merfolk - this is most likely what your parents are thinking. Tuff place to be.

I think my parents biggest problem is that it is in the holiday season. I've been living with my bf for 4 years together and know each other for 7 years, we are really serious about this. We are planning to get married later on, and here the registered partnership is 99% equal to getting married, we are mainly doing this so it is easier to get a mortgage for buying a house together. When we are all settled we will get married with the full party and stuff.
