Brisbane/East Coast MerMeets!

Thought I might make a thread for this, because it's something I'd like to organise fairly often, if possible I know the Adelaidians meet fairly regularly but it's so far to travel for us east coast mers!

Would any SEQ or northern NSW mers be up for a meet in Brisbane, or somewhere up or down the coast? I've found I haven't been using my tail so much when I can only swim by myself, so I'd love to have a group of mers to swim with every once in a while.

If there's enough interest for it, we could make it a regular event

What does everyone think?

I'm on the east / south coast in vic but I can take a weekend and come up to meet I haven't met any other Mers yet!

Awesome! Now that it's coming into the summer months, I figure it's a good time to start meet ups

I currently work full time too, so I'm only really available Sundays (and Mondays, but most people might not be free in guessing), but even if people want to schedule meets for other days, I don't have to be there haha.

Is any/everyone free any Sundays in October?

And also is it weird that I want to touch your silicone tail?

Haha, not at all! I often pull it out from under the bed just to run my fingers over it, which my boyfriend thinks is a little weird, haha. It just feels so squishy and nice xD

i should be able to arrange a Sunday for a meet fairly easily sometime in the next few weeks (hopefully).

Not immediately, we've got another 2 weeks to go, before we move into our new unit. I think end of October will be ok for me, but if you can't wait that long, just do the meet without me, I'm cool with that. And there's always a next time right?

I am free pretty much every weekend. In down in tweed so it's an hour and a half drive but I have a motorbike so I don't mind. However I cannot carry my merbellas tail on my bike haha. But since it doesn't fit me anyway I figured that doesn't matter too much anyway. I will have a monofin so that will have to do.

I can't actually legally drive a car haha. I know how to, but don't have my licence. Also the tail is (sadly) too small for me. I can get it on, but due to a measuring mistake on my part it rides very low at the back and is tight to the point where it's painful to wear. I'm glad to let someone borrow it though if anyone wants. Should fit a size 8-10 I think, only issue is how short it is, because I'm so short. Large competitor monofin fits a size 8 foot up.

Measure yourself anyway, I wear a 12-14, it's tight on me but I'm rather full figured

The artificial beach in south bank is really nice, but I'd think also super crowded because of the weather and time of year, so mermaiding there may prove hazardous.
