As I type, I'm currently lying next to my just finished/dry tail. All that's left is to heat set it. The final fitting turned out amazing. I'm pretty much in tears I'm so happy. The final tail length is about 5'7", which ironically enough is my height.
Saoirse (Seer-sha) means "freedom" in Gaelic, which is what I feel below the surface. I'm a freshwater mermaid.

I'm making a tail. It's a crochet tail, hahaha, so not swimmable. but I got the pattern last night, and I've been dreaming about making tails nearly every night, so I have to do something about it. This will be fun.

I got to Joann's today, yay! I got some materials for making some X-mas presents, and I finally have a proper pincushion! I haven't been able to find a simple, red tomato pincushion with an emory sand strawberry at all in the places I usually get to, and now I have a little one that fits in my sewing kit. It's the little things in life. ^_^

After hours and hours on this one dang wall, my feet and shoulder are not happy with me, but it's done! You can even see a few flecks of glow in the dark glitter fluttering about in the air. (Most of it is on me, though, of course).
Now, I just have to paint over the spots I got on the white molding and the room will be complete. <3
