Jon Norris owns the website (thanks Phaylenn!), and appears to be the father of Annie (the person who founded the pole dancing studio). I'm wondering if she built the mervert pages or if he did....
Thanks for alerting me. I'm at work right now so I can't work on this until this evening, but I've looked over the website and read through this thread so I'm up to speed.
So far we know that this website seems to be for an actual poledancing fitness business in Herefordshire England. The website uses an html element called iframe to embed MerNetwork.com in a page on their site, as well as the website for the iridescence mermaid troupe, who is likely unaware that they're being watched by these people. I'd like to clarify that the iframe element of HTML is a basic part of the language, and their use of this site on a page of their website does not involve any hacking or security breaches. It may be possible to modify this site to prevent it from being able to appear in an iframe, but I'm not sure.
As for the identity of the people who made that site, based on the whois search and the facebook group, it does appear that Jon Norris made it. It is unclear why. It is also unclear why the pages are labeled mervert, since that seems like an admission that this site is meant to be creepy and disturbing.
I'm hoping I can look into this further tonight.

I am glad they took the pages down, but I am amazed at how they are going to defend the ignorance. At least I am going to hope it is ignorance because otherwise it is just another example of disrespectful people doing disrespectful things. It is awesome that she was gifted something she wanted. However, if you are going to put something like that out on the internet you need to do your research which they clearly did not. AND if they did do any they simply through it out the window and used offense terminology and then got hyper defensive when someone pointed out that it could be taken very offensively by the community of people it reflects.

Also if you go look at the thread on FB Raina shared. She says it is private but that was a public webpage. I am thinking this is caused by someone who doesn't entirely understand that anything up online like that is PUBLIC unless you set it to be secured to a login to access the content of the page. Hopefully this will be the end of it and we can all move on.

Be careful about talking to this guy. You may be feeding the troll. It may be the reason he created this site is to get mers to rage against it, and while we do, he sits back laughs, and "collects precious tears".
Edit "SA goons": For those who do not know, this refers to the Something Awful forums, who's members call themselves "goons". They are known for stuff like those (now gone) webpages.

It sounds like it was just her dad who caused all these problems. If she just turned 30 good chance he's in his 50-60's and maybe isnt very internet savy and just tried to do something fun for his daughter. Bad move though on some of those choices because the creep factor was high.
I also am worried if she's going to a mermaid school that makes all these outrageous claims...
