I had a good guess it was hers. She told me back when I visited her in Florida.
It's not over yet. There should be a second lionfish tail coming up and it will be owned by Christomer. They ordered these tails together.

They actually look quite thin and flowing in photos - I wonder if she could just fold then over her lap like Merenneito Riia does with her big hip fins...

My dream tail would totally be a Finfolk. Absolutely amazing. Pretty sure their craftsmanship is unbeatable.

I'm not sure about that. If they are as thin as you think, then they would be VERY fragile and easy to rip if one doesn't pay attention on moving carefully the tail. I rather think they are thick enough to take quite a beating just like with any other fin.

I'd be scared of ripping the crap out of it doing ANYTHING.

Yeah I'm guessing the fins are thicker than they appear this tail honestly just makes me even more excited for the new one I'm saving for!!!

I'll be interested to see how this thing moves in water. It's clearly a work of art, especially when displayed like it is in this picture but the issue with big fins is how floppy they are. A real lionfish, for example, has spines that support those fins and allow for more subtle movement. Obviously that's not currently possible with modern mermaid technology but it's something to think about when designing a tail for sure.
