Your scales look AMAZING! I love how they look all laid out.

I can't for the life of me figure out why you had such big bubbles in your resin molds, though. If you do nails, that powder and liquid they use to make acrylic nails might fill in those gaps, rather than mix tiny batches of resin...you'll get more of a working time and mix as you go along. BUT test it first to make sure there are no curing issues.

Hi Amelia, I love your Peacock theme! So cool how the scales look almost feathery! I'm actually planning to make a peacock headdress this week to add to my Etsy shop, I'll share some pics when it's done. I even have a whole tail piece I made one halloween. Can't get enough of peacock feathers!

Some placement I like .... I set the monofin at the bottom to get an idea of what it might look like. I still need more rearrangements. And I skipped out on using the vivid pinky purples very much.

Such pretty color transitions. I used that same Halloween pitchfork to make a trident as well!

That trident is goals. The arrangement is coming along nicely but I'm sad to see you not use the pinky purple scales -they were gorgeous

Looking great hun. Love the specks of purple that you have decided to use, subtle but effective

I'm super excited to see how it all turns out. Is it heavy so far?

Yeah but most silicone tails are so I was expecting that.

Before I start the fluke how much exterior allowance should I give to ensure a good secure fluke around the monofin?

Keep in mind there's more up top than the picture shows but I think maybe it needs more

Any suggestions/ sage advice from those that have ventured down this path?

Yes I'd also be interested in tips for how to best fit for a fluke. Specifically how loose or tight should one aim for the fluke to be fitted to the monofin? How much space where water sloshes around is normal and does it add significant drag if the monofin is not snugly wrapped?

Beautiful and unique fluke design btw!

There should be drainage channels included in the fluke design so the water pressure of swimming pushes the water out. There should be NO water inside the fluke sloshing around. The fluke should fit tightly to the fin as if it is all one piece.

Is there a thread the shows a picture of drainage channels? If I see it I can probably do it.
