Hello, I'm Aoki. I live in Nebraska, work as a freelance artist. I'm 28 and have a bachelors degree. I've always been fascinated by merfolk since my parents took me to see the little mermaid as a child. My interest in marine life came from documentaries and I always wanted to scuba dive and become a marine biologist. Sadly the monstrous amount of math classes required scared me off so I became content with being a certified diver. I discovered monofins while looking into scuba equipment, then years later came across the mer community.
As of recent I purchased my first set of tails, a Finfun and Mertailor Eco tail. I had my first opportunity to swim in them last night and absolutely loved it. Prior to swimming I've modeled the finfun tail in a life drawing session which was a blast.
