That moment when you send a pic of a tail design to the wrong friend and she replies that she wants a tail that's aqua! And neither of you knew the other likes merfolk!

Oh my gosh! That's awesome! What a coincidence!

As for me... how about that awkward moment when you are casually walking through the store, talking about your "tail" to you mom... and then you realize that everyone in isle 3 probably thinks you're insane!

That awkward moment when you're having your second swim in your new monofin and a little girl and her mother walk into the pool room and the kiddo exclaims loudly, "Mommy look a mermaid!" >.> I was just glad it didn't distract her from her lesson. I was nervous that she'd chase me down lol

On the weekend, my partner was pushing me around on a trolly, and I had a little lady come up to me and ask me why my boyfriend was a man
I simply explained that I fell in love with a human just like Ariel did! So cute haha.

That awkward moment you check the member map because soon you will be moving (a short distance) and find that there is another mermaid in the same area, and she too has a green tail. She joined this year and hasn't posted yet. I realllllly hope she replies to the PM I just sent.

TAMW you have have to take your tail off and leave the pool but there are a ton of little kids staring at you and whispering that there's a mermaid, so you SLOWWWLY shimmy out of the pool, out of the pool area, through the door, across the floor in the hotel you're in, through the hallways, and to the stairway to take off your tail so you don't kill anyone's dreams. All whilst being stared at by surprised passerby. :P

That awkward moment when you find out that friends have been introducing you to people/refering to you as "The Mermaid girl" or just "Hi, this is Sarah she's a Mermaid." Its funny but I don't know how much I'm liking my uni rep :P I just feel awkward when people come up and ask If I'm the Mermaid.

I agree. Kinda cool to be recognised! Definitely need to do a photoshoot or swim at the uni sometime.
