Had an incredible event on Friday! Two words: Saltwater Pool. It was like swimming in saline.
Also finally saw Finding Dory with the boyfriend tonight. So cute! Not gonna lie, got a little emotional.

Last Saturday my hiking group went to Paradise cove via Point Dume. At Point Dume we saw a large group of seals hauled up on the rocks. At paradise cove I put on the tail to go for a swim. Although it was nice to be able to do this, it did not go quite as planned. The waves came up just as I was getting the tail on. I decided to get into deep water, out of the waves, to complete the process, and found that the beach was gone! In the picture below, the sand ends at about there the white water is. After that, its all rock. El Nino did not bring rain to Southern California, but the waves took away this beach. Oh well. I still got into the water and swam about. Then I hauled up onto the beach for pictures.

The goods:
I had a seven-hour shift in the fitting room today. Not too shabby, considering my past. I found out that I'm working the max amount of hours again next week, which is chill. A lot of people are getting cut down. Not me!
I'm sloooowly saving for a neoprene tail, and I've got about $6 so far. Lol. I'm thinking of starting a fundraiser for it. I can make one for less than $200. Should I do it?
At work, someone went to the register and apparently raved about my service in the fitting room. The person she was talking to was my manager...and she relayed the message ❤️
I told a lady I was helping with blue hair today that I'm a part-time mermaid. Her daughter was so excited. My uniform requires a blue shirt or dress, so I always feel ocean-y.
How many people have I told that they're pretty today? A lot. But there are some seriously beautiful people that need a lot of love. If someone looks amazing, tell them! You never know who needs it.

I had a nice swim at Ventura harbor yesterday. I did not know about it until I got there, but there was a group called Best Day giving kayak and paddle board rides to special needs kids. They did not notice me very much, they were to into what they were doing, so I left them to it. But at one point a little girl came up to me with a bucket of wet sand, and started throwing sand at my tail.
"Why are you throwing sand at me?"
"I don't know, I'm just eight."
What can you do but laugh?

My mom went to a doctor appointment yesterday, thay said that she has a less than 50% chance of needing a liver transplant! Which means they'll only do localized chemotherapy.

I will be going to my first mermaid event if I can get the day off on August 7th! A mer from my very own Chesapeake Pod offered to take me, so I don't have to get my dad's approval!
It's a small meetup of around 12 or so mers, and I am SO excited! I have never met another mer or even swam in my tail yet!

I'm soo happy, i have found my dad after 27 years. he has leave me and my mother 3 month after my birth and was gone back to the USA. an now i have found hin and have contact.
And the other thing is, i'm an american and i get my first us passport in a few weeks.
