    I am having an Oceanika merfin put in my new tail that is currently being made for me by mermaid parties! I am super, super excited, and once I get it, I will post pictures! I am looking forward to trying out a new tail with a different type of fin. Currently i'm used to swimming in the mertailor's latex tails and also an oceanika merfin by itself. Update to come soon !

    hey guys, guess what?
    i emailed mahina and them at oceanika, and they said theyre going to release the whale-shaped merfins in 2013. D
    i hope its early in 2013. i LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT SHAPE. haha.
    but anyways, im planning on getting a tail from mermaid parties with an oceanika (: im quite excited.

    The first time that I saw this thread, I checked out the site, but the monofin was too pricey for me then, especially when you add postage.

    I recently checked out the site and clicked where to buy... and there was a shop not too far away from my city!

    My Birthday is coming up in August & I know what I'm going to ask my Internet-shop-phobic parents to buy me!

    I want to get one and they are selling them in my size, well almost. I have a 6 1/2 foot size, and I can fit into a size six if I have to.. I have to get one of these!

    I wanted to make myself a fabric tail with an Oceanic Merfin but it is still more than I would like to spend. I'm still considering it because I love the shape and think it would look a lot better in a fabric tail than my finis monofin, even if I cut it (which I would have to buy tools for anyway). Still, I am one broke mermaid.

    I don't know if you guys noticed this but they changed the price of the merfin. It is now 89 dollars for all sizes.
    I wish they did this when I got paid, I could have gotten it then. x.x

    I just wish the shipping wasn't so much X_x $65 (68.66 USD) for shipping is so much! That's a total of $162.68 I could buy a fiberglass monofin from Leaderfins for $159.24 with shipping and all other charges. The fiberglass has more power, but the Oceanika has a beautiful shape. ... *indecisive*

    swam in my oceanika for the first time and it was a DREAM!
    only had to do some heat altering before hand because the biggest size is a size too small. it's amazing now. i don't ever want to use another monofin ever!

    You are welcome!! I would go with the Oceanika. But that's just me. I love it's shape and the way it flows. If I could get it right now I would.
