Awe that's so sweet Cookie! I can't wait for my merbaby to meet you and all her merfriends too! She has so many mermaid outfits lol! Plus 2 wigs. She enjoys other mermaids immensely. She's swam with 6 other than me so far. I wonder what she's going to think of seeing so many more at once?

Awe thanks Cookie! So many mers are coming now to see us there, my heart has been greatly moved by this. I was thinking of bringing my giant inflatable clamshell. But not sure if there would be a space for it? It would be cute for mers to take pix in it. Plus it lights up so if not able to have it poolside then at the ball....but obviously that's not up to me. Are other mers bringing their clams with them? At other conventions some mermaids have brought their clam floats so I'm just politely asking beforehand. I don't want to clutter anyone's space!
The GAC doesn't want any inflatables this year. I thought they'd be OK because there were several last year. But we were recently told none this year. And nothing that plugs in outside of things we have approved for vendors.inflatable clamshell.
Maybe the hotel pool? You'd maybe have a better idea if you called the Sheraton to ask! I think it also depends too if it needs to be plugged in and what the power wattage is for fire regulations.

I am officially coming to MerMainia! My hotel is booked and I just purchased my ticket! I am so excited to meet you guys, although quiet nervous as well…I have never met another Mer in person!!!! Whether I will get to show up in my tail in progress is a mystery, but I don't mind swimming in my fabric tail…I guess I will see y'all there.

Thanks Raina, it feels kind of weird like watching Mer (espically you) on YouYube or seeing their work for a year or so, and then joining the network and being able to actually talk to other mer's and now I can see y'all in person...lol...it's just a little wild to thing about!

As for the clam, I've used mine at various Sheratons before without an issue so maybe it will be fine. At the very least my "sparkle" pod members have a suite rented that we could set it up in for fun photos.

No it wont be changing, we actually priced the tickets lower in hopes of making them more affordable than last year, but also in hopes of covering the rest of the ball expenses via sponsoring or con tickets.
