Uploading new photos in photo album?

I remember the announcement. That why it still surprises me that the albums still work.

so rant makes sense that there is a file size limit each never can use, hence they still work but certain file types only allow certain file sizes and it seems there is a max number of MB people can use. Thank you for your feedback AniaR as it provides a lot of clarity to my questions.

Imagemagick:

convert source.jpg -resize 20% destination.jpg

Instead of a percent value, also a fixed coordinate can be used.
For example, x900 will make an image with a height of 900 pixels.

this is definitely helpful thank you!!! I just don't want to use too file of a file when a smaller size will do just fine.

We still plan on removing the albums completely. If we turn them off now it may make it harder to remove them. Removing them turned out to be a lot harder than expected- there doesn't seem to be a place where I can just delete them all. We may have to through and remove them one by one. The other option would be to pay someone to write a program to delete them, which I don't want to fork over a bunch of money that could be used to improve the forum in other ways. It's definitely a shortcoming of the forum software that I can't just delete them all.

So yes- please don't upload anymore to user albums.

To make things easier, why not seen a mass email to everyone mernetwork inbox to delete their albums to help keep MerNetwork server cost in check. It would save you time on the number of albums you would need to delete.
