I'd just keep the raffle open. If I had extra cash I'd totally buy tickets, your sculpting and actual artistic skill would make for one killer tail. I think it's a cool way to get your product out there and from what I've seen it looks like whatever you make when you start selling full tails will really be worth the price. Whoever gets this tail will be lucky for sure.

I would agree. I would have thought more people would have entered the raffle by now. seems like a sweet deal and for a good cause.

@Mae - yes everntually, it will be on my youtube, Im getting them started at a slow pace but I have a few pre-tutorials already on my youtube where I talk about silicones etc etc so you can basically get a clear idea of how the process goes

@Moon - it can honestly be whatever you want but I'm recommending the foil because it's short so it allows for a flowy fluke, it's close to the foot so it won't look bulky, and it's relatively easy to put on without having to adjust anything.
If you want another kind I can do that, wouldn't recommend ALL types but I won't tell you you can't do it xD
If you want something REALLY fancy like a competitor that'll have to be a bit extra

Alright guys I'm currently uploading 3 videos that have to do with the mermaid tail tutorial.
One is the scales, the other is a fluke video, and the final one is just a closer look/explanation about the materials.

Tomorrow I'll try to work on a "different types of clay" video as well as show some fluke progress

    Also here's a gif xD

I NEED HOOVES. The link to your Etsy on that video doesn't work anymore. Do you still have an Etsy?

  19. #219
I did for a while I shut it down for a bit to take a break from horns and hooves. I had developed a new way to make them but I ended up using a lot of my own money funding it by myself and came to a halt, so I decided to sell a couple tails to help me finish and I thought, I really wanted to make a tail anyways so I'd have fun doing that in the meantime!

Speaking of which, I'll try to upload a video of how to sculpt the fluke later tonight or tomorrow sometime.
One of the people getting a tail said it was alright if I showed you guys the concept art she made to compare to the fluke progress so far so I'll be posting it very soon! Just wanted to think of some good pointers to give along with the video too.

Actually I believe that is a Tawny Frogmouth:

They're not actually owls, they're part of the bird family of Frogmouths.
Fun fact: they mate for life, and stay pretty much side by side until one of them dies.

Back on topic, I'm excited by how many videos you have up already! I can't wait to see you sculpting the flukes!
