If they give you retainers, make sure you use them... My teeth drifted back quite a lot cause I forgot to put them in and then the retainers didn't fit anymore :/

How is everyone?
I have such love/like/meh feelings for forums, but Mernetwork always calls me back.
Anyhoo- I'm so excited, anyone who knew me when I was a frequent poster might remember that my daughter (who is 6 now) had to have hip surgeries to correct hip dysplasia- they had to give her femurs the angle they need, and build a little shelf from bone grafts to give her sockets. Well not only has that all gone great, but she's going to have the metal plates that were making her femurs grow correctly removed in January.
And because she's doing so well, she's taking swimming lessons. Which is super exciting for her and for me!
Her surgeries, her wellness and needs, have been (as they should when such things are happening) the focus of my life for a couple years now, but with things going so well, I'm actually able to start thinking of some things for myself again. Found swimsuits online that I like, am sleeping and losing unhealthy weight quite naturally, and mermaiding might be a part of my life again very soon.
I'm going to see the phantom again this time with my niece. The phantom has blessed me with two seats... RIGHT underneath the chandelier.

I'm so happy! I'm going to order my pigments and I got out my 48 four ounce jelly jars that I bought to put my pigment in and put the pretty labels on them.Have I mentioned that I love glass jars? I'm obsessed with containers and jars, I don't like to throw them away and I'm always looking at vintage glass items online. I have a problem...lol

Speaking of happy, I'm engaged and getting married next year on a boat, by the Captain. Since my fiance can't breathe underwater.This is the next best thing to an in-water wedding, and easier on the relatives who will be in attendance. I'm stoked.

I haven't had a lot of happy since my teen brother died in August, but I have some inspiring, wonderful stuff going on now. We started a non profit in his honor that works with the Fish and Game, and my mother fell in love with this tail I dreamed up. :3 So I may end up a performing mermaid after all if all goes well- I put in an email and we'll see what happens. I never thought I'd be a pro mermaid, but any opportunity to honor my brother's memory and teach kids about safety and nature at the same time is a dream come true. <3 Plus one of my best friends just had a baby so I'm over the moon. <3
my best friend got married a few months ago so I'm waiting for them to start having kids so I can be Auntie Mermaid! It will be a couple years until the start having babies, but i'm so excited because i'm most likely going to be the god mother when they have kidsPlus i'm an only child so I have to wait until i get married to be an official Auntie.
Being an Auntie is so special <3 I love seeing my own kids with their aunts and uncles- biological and adopted. All our good friends end up being aunties and uncles. We're a tribe haha
