That awkward moment when you go swimming at the national park and theres a huge family drinking in the river who have completely ignored the sign about taking glass down into the park from the picnic area.

The even more awkward moment when they start to hit on you and act really inappropriately and won't stop pointing and snickering and trying to get you to go over so they can "touch" it.

As I left one of them was yelling at me to come back so he could have my tail. I was so tempted to yell back that he was too fat and wouldn't fit into it -_-

I think the worse thing was they were doing this in front of their little kids who are going to pick up on and mimic the behaviour.

That awkward (and random) moment when you have your tail out drying on a towel in the hallway and your dad starts yelling at you to come out of your room because somethings wrong and when you rush out he just points at your tail and says that someone killed and skinned a mermaid -_- :P

That awkward moment when a boy wants to race you but he is on the swim team, and you have never been on a swim team and don't get to swim often. I sure was relieved when I finished first. Thank youuuuu monofin!

TAMW a creepy old guy starts swimming in your lane. And you change to another empty lane. But he follows you. So you change lanes again. But he keeps switching lanes to be with you.
TAMW you're just about to report him to the lifeguard and when you open your mouth to say something, the lifeguard greets creepy old guy with a wave and hello, and then you recognise him at last...

He is one of the swim teachers. He wanted to see up close how I did the dolphin kick. Idiot should've asked instead of following me around!! All I see in the distance, with my bad eyesight and prescription goggles, some old guy keeps following me around! GAH!

TAMW you're hiking on with some people from your living area, and see some other students from your college (different living area) and greet them. you recognize two of the people and can't figure out who they are until
Guy 1: Are you savannah?
Me: ...yes?
Guy 1: your photo is on our wall!
Guy 2: hey I was that guy poking his head outside of his room when you went to add the triton photo to his door

Also, that awkward moment when you decide to blow out your air and sink. You look around yourself in the pool, watching the other swimmers and the water itself; you are completely still but for the turning of your head. Your lungs begin to burn. A flick of your monofin brings you back to the surface from eleven feet and it feels so magical.

And then you notice the lifeguard is staring at you, half standing in her chair, life preserver hefted.

She'd been just about to jump in after me! Whoops. Didn't mean to scare her.
