kjegfquyergv my current frustration is with my lil sister. She is 4 years younger than i (freshman in high school) and though i love her to pieces, she is really closed minded. SHe isnt a bigot, but she is nowhere near my level of tolerance. She would not approve of my religious choices ( I am a pagan witch) if she knew about it. BUt that's okay i suppose. She doesn't need to know and I wasnt very liberal at her age either. but the thing that really tics me off is that friday I was on my computer, looking up tail-making tips, and she peeked over my shoulder. There was a photo of someone in a fabric tail on the screen and she asked me what she was doing. I told her that she is wearing a swimmable mermaid tail. she said "weirdo." I was immediately offended, but i knew she didnt mean to insult me so I said "Im thinking about making one. I'm probably going to..." she said "no." thats all. just no. she was disallowing me to make a tail. She decided it was too abnormal and refused to see that it is something I am passionate about. so I tried again and I said "Uh... yes." she said no, shook her head and walked out of the room. WTF?!?!? hkersgrdikvbhealriggv;aeiduhg;ieauhsr i am so pissed! I thought my dad was going to be the hardest to convince. but i hadnt expected my sister to be so cold.... bhscakucvabyvas

NOT okay > but you should explain that if you dont wear it you will need surgery (feel free to exaggerate a little bit) say that you are one misstep away from costly surgery even if its not quite true

    Okay...*big exhale*

so my boyfriend and I just bought our house about 6 months ago. Christmas is coming up so its kind of exciting, first christmas living together, first one in the house, our first tree yada yada yada.
My whole family believes that the greatest gifts you can get are "vintage heirlooms" hand-me-downs but they mean something to us. My great-great-great uncles dining room set that he got when he married his wife (got it as a gift from his sister who died in the chicago fire after mailing it to him) dishes from the same 3xgreat uncle and aunt from their 50th anniversary and so on and so on. it means something to me.

My mom gave me the nativity scene her grandmother had handpainted. On the box was a note written by her step-sister. it said. "Hey, this was left over at the house, so I took it, but now that I see what it is, I figured that you would want it. Oh the angel broke"

Upon reading the note and looking at the first wise man I pulled out carefully, I was so furious because I didn't know what to think or expect. I was blown away. Everything was painted with an artistic flair and beauty. And there at the bottom was an angel that a kid would have in their bedroom. Not even worthy of being in the same box. I am just so mad right now. This nativity set is from the 1950s-1960s.....YOU CAN'T FIND ANOTHER ANGEL THAT IS UNPAINTED. ugh!

    That stinks.
how badly broken is it? Sometimes people are able to fix it very nicely

I feel very strongly about this. a friend and i were talking.. well rather "bashing" Harper. and this is what she says

"I would very much like to repeatedly chuck bricks at Harper. As this may be construed as illegal I would potentially settle to chucking eggs or shoes at his face. Siiiigh, so ashamed to call myself Canadian under his rule. Maybe, possibly he should stop selling Canada and our land rights to Chinese corporations, and oh - oh yeah! - entitling them to the right to sue Canada if we even so much as attempt to protect our environment and native peoples lands (because it would hinder the Chinese profits)... May I please end Harper, and his dictatorship now? I'd very much like to end him. :3"

anyway that's today's "beach-fit" summarized about how i feel. she just worded it so perfectly.

The original Angel apparently was soo broken that she got rid of it completely and put a replacement in the box that shouldn't even belong in there.

Okay, so I must say that this isn't B*!ching, but its something I have to get off my chest.

My grandmother's funeral and graveside service was today. My Grandfather was the man that wore the cowboy boots and hat and was the man that you didn't cross but you came to if you had problems. He was in a wheelchair today and cried throughout the whole thing (understandable since they were married for 61 years, 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren). I am a strong woman when needed to be, I never cried for my boyfriend's gpa's funeral because he was crying and needed my strength.

Today was no different. I was strong, I had to do a reading and also gave a euligy (that go a laugh because of my grandmother's fun and stubborn life). I had one comment from my grandfather that did almost make the dam break (he said that he was glad that one grand child of his will carry on the beauty of his wife). But the rest of my aunts looked at me like I was a plague. Finally the open mouthed one said that it was in poor taste that I was a grandchild and not shedding a tear.

Then at the luncheon, one of my grandfather's friends gave him a beer. He was happy to get it and drank it in front of everyone. Then people decided that the grandchildren needed pictures and the children needed pictures with grandpa. My open mouthed aunt forcibly removed the beer from my grandpa's hand saying, "you'll get it back in a minute". I felt so bad for him. Then I decided that I wanted a picture. He was about to hide the beer and I said "Hold it up for the picture grandpa...I always remembered you with a beer and this is no different." He was so amazed and held it proudly.

I got gaff for that from the aunts again. I just needed to vent because I am upset and its all roaming around in my head and heart. I feel bad because I have shed a few tears but not much.

As long as your grandfather appreciated what you did then no one else should have a problem with it. It sounds like you handled the situation perfectly. People just need to realize that sometimes other people handle sadness differently.

I totally agree. My younger sisters cat passed away in August, it was hard for her, because it was her cat. Soniia chose her. When she would be at school, someone asked her why she was upset. She said it was because her cat died. Another student barges in on the conversation and tells her, "Well it was only a cat. Its not like it was a family member. Seriously? You need to grow a back bone and some hard skin and get over it. They are just animals anyways, go get another cat, in a week it will be like nothing happened."

My sister comes to me and tells me this. I called the girl up and told what was going on and that she needed to think before she justs blurts anything and everything out of her mouth. She apologized to my sister the next day.

The other day I was talking to le boyfriend's mom and it came up about how I should see a therapist about some stuff, and then she added in, "and maybe you figure out why you want to be a mermaid." (or something like that) like it was wrong or something. And I was just like, "It's completely normal! There's even a whole website about it! With people! That talk to each other!" Normally I don't stick up for myself, but the words just came out. Some people just don't get it. They're no fun ;P

I absolutely hate it when people start to misuse their 'powers' and stuff when every they starts to become inmprtant or some thing just cause their job has something with the law and stuff.
I also hate it when people who are older than me starts to talk to me like i am a litle kid just cause they are older and demand respect when they dont respect me.They think ever thing the say is right and love to push blame on others.
I also hate it when people starts to demand certain stuff and all that stupid stuff just cause i am the oldest.Like for instance , talking about getting me married and to what type when i am only currently 15 and i believe that i dont excty choose who i fall in love to,it just happens.
I absolutely hate it when people start to talk rubbish and look down on my hobbies just cause they dont like them and do them. What i do is non of their business and i am certainly not holding a gun to their head and forcing them to like it too.Would it kill them to keep their mouths shut.

I get that alot too, espically here in singapore where most people are as open minded as a rock. Its part of being arrogant and close minded i guess to think that something they dosent like and dont really agree on is 'stupid' ,'abnormal' or 'weird' just cause they dont like it or share the same views. Its that 'either your on my side and like me or your weird' or 'either your one of us or you must be mentally ill' theory at work. to put it plainly, people like to create sides, in their opinion/minds, either your from the light (them) or else your one of the 'dark'(others that are not like them). that theory has been at work for centuries and it proberly going to still be therein years to come.my opinion of these people is ,in a simple form, need to grow up and are really mature as a 2 year old kid.

Now, ladies, let's not argue. Bitching is different than arguing. Instead, let us rejoice over the fact that we live in a country where we can have pizza delivered to our doorstep. Then bitch about all the times they mess up our order!
