That’s absolutely beautiful ! I need one and just started and I’ll profit for depressed and suicidal youth. I put all my money into it so I don’t have the money to buy a nice tail. Do you guys know which is the best company I’ve gotten different reviews on YouTube for different ones but I have an upcoming feature article being done on me by local publications and need one soon . Any suggestions would be appreciated !

The best companies are not able to give you a tail for free. They are super expensive, because that's how much they cost to make.

Wanting to order my 1st Finfolk productions fabric tail but can anyone give me advice on the fit? I think I’m a large because my hips are between 44-46 depending how much I workout. So I’m thinking large or should I go bigger and take in?

I was the last measurements in M and I found mine too small. What I did was take outt he elastic waist band, and get a smaller monofin, and then it was perfect.

I tend to slim down in the summer because I swim 2-4 times a week. I’m actually looking @ the Mermaid Linden adult monofin I have the Childs size for my swim tails tail it’s not an exact fit but I love ❤️ floppy fins and to me it has great propulsion.

Hey guys! Official word from the FinFolk team is that if even ONE of your measurements is for a different size, buy the larger size.

The measurements given for each size already include the maximum stretch for that size. So if you buy the smaller size it will not fit. Get a larger size and tailor it down instead.

That could mean the tail could sit lower on your hips rather than at your natural waist. Depending on what monofin you use in the tail, you could potentially position yourself deeper into the fluke to combat your height and have it sit up closer to your waist.

As for shipping time let me find it and get back to you. Generally they are presales but this time it's just a regular sale so it should be a matter of days to my knowledge.

I ordered before they had the actual pic of the tail and size guide up! I already emailed them! Have not gotten a response yet! They still have medium available on the sight so I hope they can switch it! Talk to someone who has a small and says it’s tight and she’s about 40 pounds lighter than I am!

They told me to order the medium and then cancel the order for the small but I don’t have enough money to order another tail! It took everything I currently saved just to order one! Currently trying to get this sorted with them! I feel like such an idiot! I wish I would have gotten it right the first time! I know I’m a pain for them to deal with especially when there are prob others whom have the same problems adding to their work load !!!

Once they got to my email today we exchanged several over about 2 hours and they canceled my first order and once the money comes back to my account I will order the right size! They were totally amazing !!!! While I as a customer was a complete idiot !!! Can’t wait to get my tail now !!! Wondering if the matching sports bra can be used in the water with the tail ??? I don't know about their exact sports bras, but I swim in my FinFolk leggings and a regular sports bra. The bra does not hold up quite as well as the leggings, I have to buy a new one every season, but the leggings are amazing! So if their bras are the material or quality as their leggings, I would say give it a try! I think they are intended to be swimwear [emoji848]

Hi Everyone!

I finally received my silicone tail over the weekend! I want to get some advice from fellow merfolk on how you take care of your tails.

I’m deciding if I should build a pipe stand or is a fin bag alright enough to store it when not in use?

Also for the foot pockets, I read somewhere that there is potential for it to cave due to the weight of the silicone so some merfolk stuff them. Is this what you do too?

One more thing, any advice to get the foot straps on more easily? I had issues getting my strap on for my second foot.

I don't tie laces onto the straps. I think it'll be tricky to do that now because my tail is silicone and silicone tails can be a bit finicky. I just lube my feet up and they slide into the monofin with no problem. A couple of wiggles and the straps are over my heels.

Plus, the monofin in my tail is the Foil, so the rubber is quite soft! :)

To store a silicone tail, hang it upside down by the fluke so air can get in. If you must store it flat, put something like a pool noodle in it so it can dry and prevent mould from growing, aand keep your tail out of direct sunlight or heat :)

Accounts can’t be deleted. Just turn off notifications and unsubscribe so you don’t get any notifications.
