I took my daughter out today for a photoshoot, b/c I wanted to photograph the crowns I made. :) We did 4 costume changes...it was exhausting. I made all the crowns/headdresses, tops, and tails. :)

I wanted to go swimming to test out the new Mythic tail, so invited a friend with an interest in photography, we only grabbed a quick photo before going into the pool as we decided it would look much better at the beach. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170227/35ff046378b3999458305a4151256422.jpg


I did however take the GoPro with me! So I have some fun underwater footage and with the Mythic tail in motion.

Thanks! She doesnt 'work for free anymore'. In order to get her to 'model' or sometimes be my photographer, I have to promise to get her something on our next mall trip. LOL. She made out good today, and I told her she owes me now for a couple more photoshoots :lol:

That was only my second time swimming with a tail. The new Finfolk mythic tails feel really natural and easy to swim in. Or I thought so anyway, but I have nothing to compare it to as its my first tail.

I have some more GoPro footage I will upload at some point soon :)

I spent 4 times mermaiding already and I'm not that good at swimming as you are. I'll message you on fb with the video of me swimming and you'll see what I mean. I must go to work now. I would like to see more of the footage when it time.

Had a great time testing out this warrior shoot with my daughter and she is such a poser in a good way ;) I can always count on her to help test out concepts :D

My 6 yr old niece saw these, now wants me to make her one! I told her these tails are for "SWIMMING MERMAIDS ONLY" And that if she learned how to swim properly, with a real swim teacher, not Aunty, then she could have one of these! She looked at me all big eyed and sad puppy dog eyes and said, "I'll ask Mummy for swimming lessons"

I wanted to go to Bondi beach and to the icebergs pool to swim and take the GoPro with me.. My girlfriend suggested a different beach and to do a photoshoot.. I am so glad she did! We were so lucky to capture perfect weather and tide.

Yes! Really just iPhone 6+ and taken by my partner who is not a professional photographer.. It was just such an amazing spot/ lovely day that every photo we took turned out amazing.

.. We were only there maybe 20 minutes max.. I didn't have time to get the GoPro out, we were going to be swept away by the waves if we stayed any longer the exit would have been cut off by the incoming tide.

I have that phone [emoji16]. That kinda scary about the tide but most definitely looks like more than 20 minutes. That 2nd to last picture needs to be a post card. Your expression and that wave is absolutely perfect.

Oh man, those ones with the giant waves crashing are phenomenal! I agree, second to last one and a good few more on that second set are the ones.

I really don't think we were there for long :)
We dropped our friend at the Sydney airport at 7:40 drove 30 minutes to the beach .. 8:10
15 minutes for me to sit in the car and change my nail polish from red to blue to suit the tail, and to get down there and wiggle into the tail .. 8:30

The next time I looked at the clock was as we finished breakfast and paid at 9:45 at a Resturant in Coogee beach (the next beach over) I really don't think we were there for more than 20 minutes to half an hour max.
The tide was coming in quick!

I just double checked the time stamp from the picture I took with my phone at the top of the cliffs as we were leaving 8:48am

We seriously did this in 15 to 30 minutes with an iPhone camera..

This blows my mind!
(Sorry I'm just so happy and amazed with these pictures and how lucky we were)
I was sitting on a ledge that was about as tall as me.. So 1.5 meters up from the tide level..
That wall of spray coming toward us must have been reaching about 3 to 4 meters in height.. By the time we left the spray was strong enough reaching occasionally to the top of the cliff by our car .. 5 to 6 meters.. (Spray only, not the waves themselves)

Just.. Mind blown :D

For earth day the state parks were free so I went down to a local lake for a swim. It was super cold but i loved every second. Really excited for summer now. My partner got a couple pictures on my shellphone that i love and had to share :)

OMG! Where did you get that flotation turtle? I've been wanting a big floating turtle because ill be moving a couple towns up the river i was thinking of putting my tail on and float down to the place i go every summer to jump off a cliff in to the water id float down the river for about an hour or two depending if i pud some effort into speed but i dont want a regular pool pad i wanted something more cool.

If i remember correctly i actually got him at Safeway last summer. I have one of the normal rafts as well but when i saw the turtle i HAD to get it. It is MUCH easier to stay on than some of the other fun things i have borrowed from friends like the whales. 9/10 would recommend. It losses a point because it took me 40 min to inflate it that far before i gave up and got in the water cause i wanted to be out before dark.

I ordered the fin fun clownfish tail on friday. It arrived today, just 4 days later! And i am in the UK! I am so pleased how fast it took to get here. I haven't swum in her yet and took a picture of myself in it. One of my favourite tails is Raven's clownfish tail, i cannot afford a silicone tail right now so the fin fun was the next best option for me. The colours are so vibrant and its so shiny! I adore it.

Some of the poses are not perfect, but it is really hard when you have no guidance and a 12 yr old is taking your pics ;) I am trying to get all my tails photographed since I am now offering photography and it helps when clients can see what tail I have.

We all decided it would be fun to take some pictures and decided to go to the great salt lake! It was super cold and those girls were troopers! We bundled them up in blankets then hurry and took a few pictures. The sunset was amazing!

Had a fun shoot in a very cold pool. We only had 15 minutes to set up the lights and shoot before we began to shake uncontrollably. But I am happy to see I'm getting better grasp on the underwater lighting.

Thanks, that's the photoshop sadly. It's a real mess in person, I do not recommend using alligator skin vinyl on a fluke ever. :D

Indeed the fin would have been there, Aquaseal neoprene glue made it a permanent fixture!;) But yes, in all of the other shots the feet are down but for this one I opted to have them up. Thanks again!

I've just returned from a trip from down south and of course my tail came with me! The location we stayed was really beautiful and was close to both the ocean and an estuary. I had a little photoshoot and my dad took pictures of me. I'm really impressed with how my tail held up, especially with me climbing onto rocks while wearing a 10 kilogram silicone tail. The little kiddies loved it, and I had this little boy say 'that's a big fish'. I'd thought I'd share here <3.

Did you fly? I’m trying to figure out how to get my monofin to HI. We are going this summer. I HAVE to bring my fabric skins plus my monofin. Trying to figure out if I can lay the fin flat in the overhead. I hate checking in luggage- terrified it will not arrive with me!

Can someone explain to me how to create an album? Or to find albums you created? I thought I'd created two but they seem to have vanished or I'm inept and cant find a means to link to them. On that point it kept giving me an attachment error so I ended up deleting two years worth of photos I'd uploaded :S including those in this thread.

Fantastic test shoot with my daughter today.
This was a tester for an upcoming shoot I have with 20 plus mermaids/mermen in July.
Lots of onlookers and kids watching the whole thing.:D
Makeup was by Sara of Urban Makeup Artistry.
Absolutely in love with the duochrome tail we created together xx
